As I'm sure some of you may have noticed, Joe and I have been rather silent on the website as of late. Several nights ago, we were robbed while waiting for a train in a Paris train station. The thieves made off with most of our electronics, credit and debit cards as well as passports- throwing us into a short turmoil as we attempted to cross the border into England later that evening.
Luckily the border guards were quite understanding and since arriving in London we have begun to piece back together everything we lost. Today we received emergency passports and now will begin working towards replacing everything else that was taken.
We did have insurance, but as I'm sure you are aware insurance companies like to get by with reimbursing you with as little money as possible. We have been having so much fun working on the site and hope to continue bringing you pictures and stories from our remaining months of adventures.
Without a computer, this will become impossible due to the formatting of our site and the programs we require to edit our pictures. With this in mind we are pondering purchasing a refurbished computer but wanted to see if we could ask any of you to assist us with the replacement of the device that was stolen.
Being on a fixed income, we don't have much wiggle room to allow for such an investment but are hopeful that some of you might be willing and or able to help us in making this all possible. Listed below is our GoFundMe account where if you are so inclined you can click through to donate to the help Joe and Kayci get back online fund.We will do everything we can to get back as soon as possible and appreciate any help with this task in advance.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this...we hope to be back soon!
Ps... They aren't kidding when they say beware of pickpockets in Paris, it's not joke...those guys are literally smooth criminals.
