This week I will set an intention of love and caring for my feet by taking the following steps:
I will begin and end each day with a special time for my feet, pampering them in any way that I can, whether with lotion and massage or dry rubbing and stretch. If time doesn't permit, I will give a moment of thanks for everything they have done for me. I will use this time to be present in how hard they work, and how little I notice their actions every day.
I will make a point to walk barefoot as often as possible, concentrating on expanding the awareness usually caught up in my head and sending down to the soles of my feet. I will feel the textures and sensations focusing on each moment as I cross grassy parks or take a walk on warm sand. As my feet flex and extend I will embrace the range of motion available to me and allow myself to breath deeply as I walk, encouraging a further release and stretch with each step I take.
This week I make a point to worship my toes. Without them, balance in my day to day life would be impossible. We often are too harsh on critiquing our toes, feeling that their shape or size is imperfect and feeling embarrassed at how they look. I will go out of my way to appreciate everything they do for me, and not speak a bad work to them or about them to myself or others. I will make sure to take time in my daily foot massage to spend time rubbing each toe individually, feeling any soreness or tightness and letting it go. I will love each toe from the biggest to the smallest and remember how important they are to every step I take.
I love you, just as you are, and always will. Be love and share love. Forget everything else the world has taught you, and choose to stop spreading fear and negativity.
