Always remember that we are all works in progress. No matter how well you are doing, there is always more to practice. Can you plant a vegetable or flower garden and leave to itself and expect when you go back a year later it will still be perfect and thriving?
The next step in creating your paradise is to decide what you want to plant there now that you have a bit more space. Every time you clear a bit more bramble, make sure to sow some seeds of positivity in its place. Otherwise it might just grow back into the empty space. Look at your life honestly and decide what you would like more of In it.
Guess what I decided to start planting? I wanted to begin to write, so I started a blog and did it. I was embarrassed in the beginning and didn't want to share anything I wrote.
Guess what I decided to start planting? I wanted to begin to write, so I started a blog and did it. I was embarrassed in the beginning and didn't want to share anything I wrote, but now I have fun learning. I'm working on different styles and love receiving critiques from friends and other writers. I'm teaching myself a new skill and in the end, I won't be any worse for the challenges I have faced along the way. To use an old cliche: the journey of a thousand miles begins with a first step.
This journey is for you, people will challenge you along the way, but it's only because they are too afraid to pursue their own dreams and they want company on the bottom. But you have better things to chase after. You need to take the first steps to making your dreams a reality. Write them down, look at them often. Decide what you want with you life and run after it. Did you ever notice that babies run before they walk? It's because it's easier, you have momentum. If you fall, it simply means your trying, dust off your rear end and try again.
You can do it, whatever it is. But first you need to take those seeds you have in a drawer somewhere clean them off and plant them into the fertile earth of your paradise. Water them often, keep them happy, protect them and they will grow.
This week I want you to practice saying yes. Yes to new situations, yes to challenges, yes to strange plans, and yes to new ideas. By saying yes to the world, it will become easier to begin saying yes to yourself. Do you want to know if you like something? Well guess what, there's only one way to find out. Get out there, try, say yes, fail and say yes again. I believe in you, I know for a fact you can. I just want you to look in the mirror and see what I do, a fountain of limitless possibility that is able to create anything if only you try.
You might think I've gone off the deep end, and that's okay. I'm a bit Kookey, it's in my nature, I just want you to know that if we all rooted for one another a bit more, we could do anything.
Happy Friday, I look forward to the last post in series next week. I want to know what you spent your weekend doing!
